A friend of mine from back home told me about the new kimchi croquettes at Dunkin Donuts in South Korea. He thought it was an interesting thing to sell at a donut shop and I wholeheartedly agreed with him. I told him I’d check it out when I got a chance.
I finally stopped by there over the weekend and got video of my kimchi croquette experience.
Check out some other people’s opinions here below…

The only way to get around Korea is by train (KTX, Samaeul, or Mugungwha) or bus (express and intercity). The trains all have bathrooms and snacks on them. The buses don’t (though they do usually play some korean movie or tv show).
Whenever a bus ride is more than 2 hours, they’ll stop halfway and give everyone a 15 minute break to go potty and buy snacks. Here’s a few pictures of the tasty treats they have to offer.
Here’s a picture of the entire facility.
Also, the bus driver often leaves the key in the ignition. That’s useful when you feel like he’s taking too long and you really just wanna be somewhere else…
My friend Lola told me of a lovely restaurant in Gangnam that serves Western-style breakfast everyday all day. It’s called Butterfinger Pancakes (or Butterfingers in Gangnam).
To get there, take the subway to Gangnam Station (line 2) and take exit 6. Then walk to the first corner and make a left. Walk about 2 blocks and you’ll run into signs like these…
They serve anything related to breakfast (sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, pigs in a blanket, omelettes, potatoes, and so on) that you could imagine and a few lunch items like mashed potatoes and gravy as well as macaroni and cheese.
The only complaint I have is that their syrup pours really slow!!! Besides that, it’s a wonderful place to pig out on breakfast food that should remind you of home.
The hours that Butterfinger Pancakes in Gangnam are open are 7am-3am! I think those are amazing hours!
